Practical course day (First Aid)

Before the Practical course day, all participants must first complete our E-Learning modules. These modules are accessible via our “digital safety environment” at digitaal.vuurroodbv.nl, where each participant receives personal login credentials. This e-learning platform, which is also available on smartphones, allows participants to build their knowledge and foundational skills in advance of the practical day. Through this online preparation, participants become familiar with the theory and gain insight into the core principles of the skills they will further develop in the SKILL carousel on the training day.

The E-Learning enables them to prepare thoroughly, allowing the practical day to focus entirely on applying knowledge in realistic situations. This maximizes the use of time during the practical training, enabling participants to concentrate on developing their hands-on skills without spending time on theory. As a result, they arrive better prepared for the training day, enhancing both the learning experience and their confidence during the practical exercises.

On the Practical course day itself, this knowledge is applied through our interactive SKILL carousel. Participants work in small groups of up to 4 people and rotate systematically between various training stations set up around the room. Each station focuses on a specific skill, providing participants with the opportunity to practice intensively and develop a wide range of emergency response techniques. At certain stations, participants’ progress is monitored by the instructor. Here, they demonstrate their mastery of the skill, after which the instructor can provide targeted feedback and further guidance.

This combination of E-Learning and practical, hands-on training on the course day ensures that each participant acquires the essential knowledge and skills needed to act effectively and confidently within your emergency response organization. Additionally, before the course, we tailor the E-Learning content and Practical course day to align with your specific needs and the unique requirements of your organization. In this way, we offer customized training that is not only theoretically relevant but also practically applicable to the daily practice and safety standards of your emergency response structure.
