Practical course day (ERO)

Prior to the Practical course day, all participants are required to complete our E-Learning modules for Emergency Response Officer (ERO). These modules are available through our “Digital Safety Environment” at digitaal.vuurroodbv.nl, where each participant receives individual login credentials. This platform, which can also be accessed on smartphones, equips participants with essential knowledge on ERO duties and emergency procedures, enabling them to build a solid theoretical foundation before the hands-on training. With this preparation, participants can arrive at the Practical course day ready to focus entirely on developing practical skills.

Our Practical course day is structured as an interactive SKILL carousel, allowing participants to rotate in small groups of up to 4 people through a series of practical ERO exercises. The training area features multiple skill stations, each dedicated to a specific ERO competency, such as fire safety, evacuation procedures, emergency exits, and life-saving techniques. This rotation system ensures that all participants experience a full range of essential skills in realistic scenarios relevant to their roles as emergency response officers.

Groups rotate between stations on a set schedule, with each station presenting a new skill or scenario to master. This approach enables participants to fully engage in hands-on practice under the guidance of our experienced instructors. At certain stations, participants are required to demonstrate their proficiency in particular skills before moving on to the next station, providing instructors with an opportunity to assess progress and deliver immediate feedback or additional instruction. This ensures that each participant gains confidence and competence in performing their ERO responsibilities.

Through the combination of E-Learning and scenario-based practical training, we ensure that every participant not only acquires essential theoretical knowledge but also builds the practical expertise needed to execute ERO duties effectively. The E-Learning modules provide a robust foundational understanding, while the Practical course day emphasizes the application of this knowledge in hands-on, real-world situations.

Prior to the Practical course day, we consult with you to tailor the course content to your organization’s specific needs. We discuss the key skills required for your emergency response team, allowing us to customize the training to align with your company’s safety standards and protocols. This collaborative approach ensures that our training effectively prepares your employees for emergency situations, fully in line with your organizational requirements for emergency preparedness and response.
